Work at the Shoppers Guild

Marketing Internship:

The Shoppers Guild is always looking for interns in the New York or Miami areas, interested in getting some marketing experience. The program is available to anyone in college or recently graduated, and work in the program can begin at any point during the year (though the prospective intern will need to commit to a minimum of 2 months).

Some Details of the Program:

o Interns will spend a portion of their time learning to build brand awareness

o Once completely familiar with the site concept and functionality they will each be charged to create marketing strategies for the business

o These marketing strategies must be replete with both ideas and cost figures, and should also contain projections of growth in use and awareness of the site (some oversight will be provided through this process)

o Each intern will present his/her strategic program and the best and most cost-effective ideas from each plan will be put into action. Interns will be assigned to work on their own ideas (if approved) or others ideas (if their own were not).

o Interns will write monthly reports on the progress of their program’s implementation and its returns

o Students will be expected to meet with a member of the Shoppers Guild team at least once per active day, (preferably twice) for no less than 2 hours

Competencies:

Required: Self-starters, interested in business, creativity (above all else).

Requested: Outgoing or charismatic, but can train that up

Built by program: Basic skills in marketing (strategy and execution on a budget and in a time constraint); will leave with confidence and experience applicable to any and all future experiences in the business and communications world.
