FAQ
1. What (or Who) is a User?
A “User” is any person who wishes to “use” the tools and resources of this site. A “User” does not require a membership to take advantage of these tools, and does not need to download any proprietary software. Though the site has both Business Users (businesses listed on the site) and Private Users (shoppers) the term “User” is employed in short-from to describe either Business and Private Users together or Private Users alone.
2. Does one need to be a Member to use the site?
No. Membership is not required to use the site. Without a membership, one is still free to browse for, print, and redeem deals offered through the Shoppers Guild. In addition, anyone is free to view the forums and take advantage of the information there. Membership is required, however to leave comments in the forums, create a personal profile, and track news updates and new deals from favorite sellers.
3. What does a membership cost?
Nothing. Membership p is free. All one has to do is sign up by clicking on the “join us” link in the middle of the home page (or at the bottom right of any other page), Click on the User Sign up button on the following page, and fill out the required information (all of which is private, see privacy policy)
4. Are Shoppers Guild Deals Available to Anyone?
Technically, yes. Our deals are available to anyone who uses our site. That said, all deals have a limited run, so if you like something, be sure to act fast.
5. How do I use Shoppers Guild deals?
Any deal you print from this site will have the name of the store that offering the deal printed on the top. Beneath the name is the address. All you need to do is go there and do some shopping, just like any other day (only this time it costs you less). When you are done, go up to the counter and present your deal along with the different things you want to buy. Each printed deal has a unique serial number so that the proprietor or clerk can verify the deal is real and give you your discount. What could be easier?
6. If I send something via “Share with a Friend,” can I print it out later?
No. Unfortunately, when you share a deal with a friend, you send out a visual copy of the deal that is not redeemable. This is because the copy will not contain an individualized ID code. Instead, a small message with the number of deals left and the date that the offering ends will appear where the ID code is normally printed. However, by going onto the Shoppers Guild Website (Shopperz.com), the deal can be easily relocated and printed directly. In fact, the default message inserted into every “Share with a Friend” email already contains one direct link to the website and another to an individualized page for that very deal.
